Singer-actor Marques Houston and wife Miya Dickey are expanding their family!

The Houstons have officially announced the birth of their daughter, Zara, who was born Thursday (December 2). Although the couple kept Miya’s pregnancy under wraps, they trumpeted the newborn’s arrival with a touching photo shoot featured in ‘US Weekly’ Wednesday (December 8).
When quizzed on why the name Zara was chosen, the proud papa revealed:
“Miya chose the name Zara because she just felt like it was exotic. [There was] no special reason. She just wanted our girl to have a memorable name that wasn’t the average name. It still feels surreal, like, it hasn’t set in yet that we are actually not just babysitting one of our friends’ kids. But not getting any sleep definitely reminds us that we are now parents.”
Zara comes as the first child for the couple, who tied the knot in August 2020 after 5 months of dating.

I always felt like he should have been married to and had a baby by Miyoko (Jhene Aiko’s oldest sister). I can guarantee you the God parents to this kid is Chris Stokes and Taz (who is also the godmother of Omarions and April’s children). It’s still uncanny to me how much this GYRL (Myia) look so much like Chris Stokes daughter, Chrissy and I’m not surprised w the name they chose.
